Live Theatre in Castle Park, Colchester
Packing Shed started life back in 2014 with a site reactive piece entitled Return to Shell Island, a children’s sequel to Shakespeare’s The Tempest, which was staged on a real island.
Since then we’ve been exploring the notion of place in our work, especially the region in which we’re based, from the salt marshes of Essex to the wide open skies of Suffolk to the North Norfolk cliff tops.
As well as finding the secret locations and untold stories of the East, we’re also dedicated to discovering new talent based here from actors, directors, designers and composers.
